Can Michigan State keep that Belleville pipeline going? The Spartans landed Devontae Dobbs and Julian Barnett in the 2019 cycle and they both played well during their freshman seasons and they had Davion Williams in 2018. Could Jamari Buddin be next?

Buddin is being courted heavily by Michigan as well as this should come down to an in-state battle, but it looks to be far from over.

All the Crystal Balls on 247Sports are favoring the Wolverines, but don’t let that distract you from the fact he’s been high on the new Michigan State coaching staff and has connections with former teammates at Belleville now in East Lansing.

Buddin is one of my favorite prospects in the class because he’s flat-out tough. He can act as the perfect blitzing linebacker or he can stuff you up the middle. One of my favorite plays in his highlight reel comes in a goal-line situation where he lines up over center and jumps the pile to make a huge stop, Kyler Elsworth-style.

The 6-2, 210-pound prospect is ranked No. 261 overall and is the No. 21 outside linebacker in the class as a four-star. He’s also Michigan’s No. 9-ranked recruit.
