9. Gabe Brown’s vicious slam

There were a lot of candidates for this position, but I decided to pick what I thought was the best dunk the Spartans had all season — Malik Hall’s poster versus Western Michigan nearly beat this one out.

Early in the year before Gabe Brown missed a little time with an illness, he showed much more aggressiveness and had no problem driving to the basket and throwing down over defenders. That didn’t quite happen in the second half of the year as he struggled with his confidence after he got sick and never really looked like himself again.

Well when he was confident and explosive early in the year, he was incredibly fun to watch and that was clear here when he threw down his second big dunk of the game against Charleston Southern.

This one had a little Jason Richardson feel to it and it ignited the entire Michigan State bench as the Spartans took a 41-point lead over Charleston Southern.
