1. MSU exacts revenge again, moves into first-place tie

The first time Michigan State met Penn State, the Spartans were coming off a heart-wrenching loss to Wisconsin on the road and the Nittany Lions took advantage of a down team.

The Spartans took a late three-point lead with about five minutes left, but the Nittany Lions ended the game on a 12-4 run, stealing a win at the Breslin Center. The loss stung, especially because it created a two-game losing streak with a tough schedule approaching. It also stung because Cassius Winston missed the free throw of an and-one with 11 seconds left that would have tied the game.

You can bet he hasn’t forgotten about that miss.

Winston has been playing some of his best basketball of the season lately and he’ll continue that on Tuesday night as the rest of the team will remain hot and we may even have a Gabe Brown sighting.

This bold prediction is kind of a two-parter as I believe Michigan State will sneak by the Nittany Lions in Happy Valley and Maryland will lose to Rutgers, moving the Spartans into a first-place tie in the Big Ten with one game remaining.
