1. MSU comes out swinging, wins a nail-biter

Typical of Michigan State road games this season, coming out flat is almost expected. Not on Saturday evening against a top-10 team in the country in front of College GameDay.

Much like Maryland did to Michigan State, the Spartans will come out swinging and hang with the Terrapins for the entire first half and potentially even take a lead into halftime. The second half will be closely contested as well with both teams trading punches back and forth and no one pulling away.

Holding Anthony Cowan in check will be key No. 1 for the Spartans, but he’s going to stay hot against the green and white, hitting some clutch threes down the stretch again.

But this time it’ll be the Spartans who get the last laugh.

Michigan State will take a two-point lead late and then get a huge stop on the Terrapins before Rocket Watts hits another one of his patented (as of Tuesday) nail-in-coffin 3-pointers to give Michigan State a five-point lead and it’ll never look back.

Will this help spark a winning streak for the Spartans that will last the rest of the regular season? It’s very possible.
