Will Michigan State basketball pick up more signature wins to finish season?
By Nate Rhoades
A look into the rest the schedule for Michigan State basketball. Will it be able to pick up another signature win to boost its resume?
The 2019-20 season is winding down and it’s one that could have been for this year’s Michigan State Spartans. The Spartans are continuing to fall in the rankings and have yet to pick up a signature win.
The best wins they have as of now are twice against Illinois as well as at Seton Hall. They have come close to picking up a win against Penn State and Maryland but have come up short in both of those games to dig deep and grind out a hard fought, come from behind win.
These Spartans are running out of time to prove they still have the potential to make it into the second weekend of the big dance. They need to get back to the basics of playing Spartan ball — they need to out-tough their opponents.
As of late, Michigan State is getting beat on the glass especially on the offensive side of the ball. Their opponents are getting second chance opportunities to help them pull away, making it harder to come back. There are more ways the Spartans can turn this season around, and you can read some of them here.
If they can do some of these things then they will the be able to finally pull a signature win off against a top opponent. Let’s take a look at those remaining top opponents and see if the Spartans will be able to come away with a big win.
