There was speculation about Simeon Barrow Jr. potentially re-opening his recruitment near the end of the early signing period but that never came to fruition.

Michigan State was able to hold on despite him getting interest from other programs and he’s a guy I’ve been excited about ever since he committed.

Barrow is listed as a 6-2, 255-pound defensive end from Georgia but with that frame, he could grow into an interior defensive lineman or whatever the biggest need for the Spartans is. He has plenty of strength, his size is ideal for either playing end or switching to tackle and he has enough athleticism to become a serious pass rusher at end.

If Michigan State is going to maintain any consistency on the defensive line from 2019 to 2020, it needs to find players who can help replace Kenny Willekes, Mike Panasiuk and Raequan Williams and I believe Barrow can be an immediate contributor.
