Michigan State basketball is facing an undermanned Wisconsin team on Saturday afternoon and it’s still going to be a tough battle.

The Big Ten office shocked everyone earlier this week when it announced a one-game suspension for Brad Davison in Saturday’s game which came shortly after Kobe King announced he would be leaving the Badgers’ program.

Michigan State comes to town on Saturday afternoon looking to pick up another big road win over the Badgers which would make the Spartans 3-2 away from home in conference play this season. A win would also give them a 0.5 game lead in the Big Ten standings heading into a very important stretch of basketball.

Wisconsin might be down, but the Badgers are still one of those teams that seems to always give the Spartans a tough test — especially at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin isn’t going to roll over, but will the Spartans get up for this one?

Wisconsin has always been known to play a defense-first style of basketball and that usually leads to low-scoring affairs. The Badgers score just 66 points per game but they’re the No. 20 defense in the country, allowing about 61 points per game.

The Badgers have played solid defense this season and the Spartans have found that out, only putting up 67 points in the first matchup.

But without Brad Davison, Cassius Winston is going to get hot from deep, as is Rocket Watts and Aaron Henry. Also, no Kobe King will also open up the floor for the Spartans to hunt shots.

Michigan State is going to get hot against the undermanned Badgers from distance, hitting 10-of-20 shots from 3-point range.
