2. Aaron Henry records a double-double

Never before in his career has Aaron Henry recorded a double-double. He’s come close this season with 10 points and nine rebounds and last season he had a double-digit rebounding performance, but scored just six points, but he has never achieved the elusive feat.

That will change on Wednesday.

We still don’t know if Henry will continue to come off the bench for Tom Izzo or if he’ll be back in the starting lineup, but whatever happens, it’s clear that he’s going to have a major role and he responded to the Hall of Fame head coach’s challenge at Minnesota. He played much better and was more comfortable watching the first few minutes of the game.

However, there’s one area of his game that could be far better and that’s rebounding from the wing spot. He’s one of the best athletes in the Big Ten and Izzo seems to be flabbergasted on a nightly basis that he doesn’t record more rebounds. He’ll change that against the Wildcats.

Northwestern doesn’t quite have the athletes to match up with Henry and he’ll be able to crash the board and record a season-high 10 to go along with 11 points and a couple of steals.

If this isn’t a confidence-booster, I don’t know what is.
