1. Indiana wins another tight battle

The last two matchups between Michigan State and Indiana have been decided by a total of five points and the Hoosiers won both.

The first was an overtime win by the Hoosiers in East Lansing and the second was a one-point nail-biter in Bloomington a few weeks later. These two programs play tight battles and Thursday night’s game will be no different as the Spartans will struggle to get out to a hot start in Bloomington and let the Hoosiers hang around.

Michigan State is the better team this season, there’s not much debate about that, but the road is a different beast in the Big Ten — as the Spartans found out against an average Purdue team.

Though Trayce Jackson-Davis will be held in check, the Hoosiers will break away from their average shooting and make a decent clip against the Spartans much like Purdue did.

However, this game won’t be a blowout in favor of either squad as the Spartans and Hoosiers will play another close game with Michigan State falling short on the road again.

The Spartans will have a lead late but a big three by the Hoosiers will seal the fate of Michigan State as they fall to 1-2 on the road in conference play, 74-71.
