2. Aaron Henry wakes up in a big way

There’s been plenty of talk about Aaron Henry this season. Has he been a disappointment or are we just expecting too much out of the sophomore wing man?

It seems almost selfish to call him a disappointment this year because he has shown plenty of flashes but he has games every now and then where he just completely disappears. Sunday’s loss at Purdue was a perfect example of one of his ghost games. He was just 1-for-6 from the field and had four fouls in 21 minutes. He didn’t turn the ball over, but he also didn’t look like a kid who wanted the ball.

That’s not what you want to see from a kid who is supposed to be your third scoring option. His mindset has to change and you better believe he knows that as well as anyone.

We’ll see him get back on track in a big way against Wisconsin as the Badgers don’t have a guy who truly matches up well with Henry’s athleticism. The Badgers have solid defenders, but Henry is nearly unguardable when he’s aggressive and that’s what he’ll be on Friday night.

Henry will score 16 points with eight rebounds and he’ll even dish four assists, helping the Spartans put some non-Cassius points on the board.

This might go down as his best overall game of the season as he’ll show up on the defensive end, too, with a couple of blocks and three steals.
