1. Cassius Winston has reached legend status

We used to say it all the time about Cassius Winston but we’re dead-serious now. The senior point guard rose up the ranks of all-time Spartans last season and he may have just solidified himself in the top-two point guards to ever don a Michigan State uniform — dare I say he passed Mateen Cleaves?

With yet another elite performance against top rival Michigan, it’s clear that Cassius just knows how to rise to the occasion and he’s become a Michigan State legend.

On Sunday, he was absolutely unreal. He was making layups, fadeaways, mid-range jumpers, threes and he was finding the open teammates with ease.

Cassius finished the game with a career-high 32 points and had nine assists and it seemed like everything was going right for him. He wasn’t fazed by the pressure from the Wolverines as he bobbed and weaved through traffic all game long, toying with that Michigan defense.

Winston finished 11-for-19 from the floor and 2-for-3 from distance and he had just two turnovers.

Michigan State needed a big win on the resume, and an 18-point win over Michigan seems to count as just that.
