2. Cassius Winston will record a double-double

Only one time this season has Cassius Winston recorded a double-double and that was the night after finding out about his brother’s abrupt death. He finished with 17 points and 11 assists against Binghamton with one of his best games as a Spartan and he showed grit and heart in the toughest time of his life.

Since that second game of the season, Winston has scored in double figures in all but one game and missed the Western Michigan contest with a minor knee injury but he hasn’t reached 10 assists since.

That will change on Sunday.

Winston has yet to really see the floor consistently like he did last season but his passing has improved over the past couple of games as the rest of the team has started to click as well. He’s going to reach 10 assists for the first since since Nov. 10 and he’ll approach 20 points as well.

The All-American point guard knows he can offer so much more to the green and white with his passing and he won’t force as many passes as he has so far, but he’ll also be aggressive when trying to get his teammates involved.

A double-double at home versus Michigan has to be on his senior bucket list.
