2. Jeremy Langford sends Spartans to Rose Bowl (2013)

Ohio State was an unstoppable machine. Urban Meyer took over the program and was leading the Buckeyes to undefeated regular seasons with a shot to make the national title game with a win over Michigan State in the 2013 Big Ten Championship Game.

Two years removed from a heartbreaking loss to Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game, Michigan State was given next to no shot to beat the undefeated No. 2 Buckeyes.

But it was one heck of a game and Connor Cook and Co. didn’t back down. Jeremy Langford, too, had a solid game and was known for putting teams away for good with one final touchdown run, and he did just that against the Buckeyes.

With 2:22 remaining and Michigan State driving up 27-24, Langford took a handoff up the middle and broke through the line with a 31-yard score to seal the win.

Forgive the video quality, but if you’re a true Spartan fans, you’ll get chills anyway.

Not only was this touchdown run a Big Ten title-clinching one, but it sent Michigan State to the Rose Bowl for the first time in decades.
