1. Alante Brown, 4-star WR (Chicago, Ill.)

If there’s one target in the class outside of Justin Rogers that should be on every Spartans’ wish list, it would have to be Alante Brown.

The four-star recruit from Chicago decided to go the prep school route after high school to get his academics in order for the next level. He not only has done that, but he’s earned the attention of a number of Power Five programs including Maryland, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Nebraska and Maryland, but it seems as if Indiana and Michigan State are leading the way.

Brown has taken an unconventional path to the next level and it seems to be paying off as he’s listed as a four-star by 247Sports and the No. 1 prep player in the nation.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because he was committed to Michigan State last year before not signing with the Spartans and re-opening his recruitment. He visited Florida State and even committed to Texas Tech, but ultimately decided to take the prep school route.

Now Mark Dantonio and Co. are interested again, and the feeling is mutual.

Brown could be one heck of a receiver weapon at the next level and he’s the kind of kid who could change the dynamic of an offense.
