1. Cassius Winston is a generational player, person

This is something we already knew and this takeaway wasn’t going to be stating the obvious but when Cassius Winston took the microphone and addressed the crowd after the game, you could hear a pin drop.

When Cassius talks, people listen, and that’s why basically every student and a good chunk of general admission fans stayed to listen to hear what the All-American point guard had to say.

Winston took the mic and thanked the fans for being there for him and his family in a difficult time. He called Michigan State the best place out there and was gracious for the outpouring of support he got in a time of need. He realizes that the fanbase absolutely adores him and hurts when he hurts, and he felt the need to thank them.

That’s special. You don’t see players doing that nowadays and you know that Tom Izzo didn’t tell him to do that; that was something he chose to do on his own.

This kid continues to impress on and off the court and for him to thanks fans for being supportive after he lost his brother just goes to show how big of a Spartan legend he is. No one was looking for a thank you, but that’s just who Cassius is.
