Michigan State basketball went on the road to pick up a gutsy win over Seton Hall on Thursday night. Which Spartan received the highest grade?

We witnessed a Final Four-type of game on Thursday night as Michigan State went into the Prudential Center and wrestled a win away from No. 12 Seton Hall, 76-73.

Right now, Evansville has the best win of the season (not a joke) with a win at Kentucky, followed by the Wildcats’ victory over the Spartans, Duke’s win over Kansas and Ohio State’s blowout of Villanova, but this one has to be up there. When you talk about resume-boosters, this victory at Seton Hall will likely be in the quality wins column come Selection Sunday, barring a Pirate meltdown.

The Gavitt Games provided fans a fun look into a Big East-Big Ten series that should be a focal point of non-conference play. The Spartans played the game of the week.

And this came just days after Cassius Winston lost his brother to tragedy and the team rallied around their point guard. They picked him up even when he was struggling early against the Pirates and he responded by hitting the go-ahead 3-pointer with a minute left as well as two free throws at the end with under five seconds left.

Oh, and Malik Hall had himself quite the coming-out party.
