3. Michigan State beats Kentucky

Kentucky is the No. 2 team in the country and the Wildcats are coming off an Elite Eight run last year. The Wildcats return a few solid sophomores and bring in the No. 2 recruiting class in the country which makes them the most talented and potentially deep team not named Michigan State.

This is expected to be a solid game and set the tone for the season as the Champions Classic usually does. This battle between No. 1 and No. 2 precedes the weekend’s No. 1 vs. No. 2 football matchups between LSU and Alabama and that makes for an all-around great week of games for college sports fans.

Can Michigan State keep up with the young athletes of Kentucky or will the Wildcats rise up and shock the Spartans? I’m going with the former. Michigan State will hold its own.

Cassius Winston will have one heck of a game against young Kentucky defenders as they won’t be able to account for his craftiness and Xavier Tillman will have a double-double while guys like Aaron Henry, Gabe Brown and Malik Hall all have big games, too.
