4. Elijah Collins averages 100-plus rushing yards

Though he’s only rushed for 100 yards one time in his career, Elijah Collins have more success in his first full month as a starter in October.

With Connor Heyward moving on, the Spartans have just three backs listed on the depth chart now, led by Collins. He’s proven himself as the team’s No. 1 back and is currently second in the Big Ten in rushing. He needs to have a big month in order to keep pace to break 1,000 yards, and I think he’ll do just that, putting together a couple of 100-yard games.

Collins will come close to three 100-yard games, but he’ll fall just short, but the redshirt freshman will average 100-plus in October.

That will put him at over 700 yards rushing heading into the month of November with four games to play. He will then become the first Spartan back to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season, assuming he maintains that pace, since Jeremy Langford.
