1. Brian Lewerke

Senior quarterback Brian Lewerke has been solid and is having a good year statistically. However, it’s blatantly obvious after last week’s no-huddle drive to close the first half that Lewerke appears more comfortable going fast. The commentator made this point about how in a two-minute offense you don’t have to think. This was an issue last season for him.

Lewerke looked great against Western Michigan and it was in part due to how fast the MSU offense moved. However, against ASU, the offense was slower and sluggish because there was little to no tempo. Brad Salem has to help Lewerke out by letting him go fast. Lewerke knows the offense and if allowed he can really shine in it.

The Spartans should win this game, however, it could be a trap game if Indiana is allowed to stick around for too long.
