Miles Bridges gave Michigan State basketball fans flashbacks with his incredible in-game windmill slam to cap off his impressive NBA Summer League.

Hornets fans are lucky. Not only do they have Miles Bridges for the foreseeable future, but it looks like the former Michigan State star is only scratching the surface of his potential.

The second-year wing — or power forward, as Charlotte may use him as in 2019 — has displayed a wide range of skills during the NBA Summer League. But, like most offseason action, his success must be taken with a grain of salt because the Summer League isn’t exactly the most intensely defended.

Still, Bridges showed off his 3-point range, his driving skills and ability to create his own shot. He also wowed fans with his dunk package.

Right when we thought we’ve seen all the dunks Bridges could offer, he flashed yet another athletically-charged euro step-to-windmill slam. His latest dunk to cap off his impressive Summer League showing was, well, amazing.

One word that could be used to describe this dunk: ferocious. He just throws it down so angrily. These are the kinds of slams that get noticed and it’s precisely why he was selected to participate in the 2019 NBA Dunk Contest.

Bridges may be working on his overall game, and he’s done a good job, but when he’s not shooting lights out or leading his team to wins — he was a great leader during summer ball — he’s throwing down nasty slams like this one.

The 2019-20 NBA season hasn’t even started, but this may be the dunk of the year no matter what happens.
