Just imagine Michigan State basketball’s 2020 recruiting class with Jalen Terry and Isaiah Jackson. Those two could form a deadly duo.

Just picture it. Two years from now with Xavier Tillman and Cassius Winston gone, a new point guard will form a scary duo with a young big man.

Jalen Terry is an athletic point guard with an elite skillset at the position and Isaiah Jackson, a five-star power forward from Detroit, could dominate the post with his ability to do just about everything. He may not be the biggest guy — at 6-9 and 190 pounds — but give him a year or two in the weight room, or even a summer with MSU’s strength and conditioning program, and he’ll be a monster.

That duo could be one of the best in the Big Ten and even the class of college basketball, but one half of it has yet to name his next home.

Terry committed to Michigan State back in April and according to the Detroit Free Press, he’s doing his part to help lure Jackson to East Lansing.

"“I tell Isaiah, ‘you want to play with me. I’ll get you the ball when you want it.’”"

That’s one heck of a recruiting pitch from one blue-chipper to another and it’s what makes that connection between Terry and Jackson so strong.

If Jackson were to commit to the green and white and guys like Aaron Henry and Rocket Watts don’t leave early, the potential starting lineup is scary.

PG: Terry
SG: Watts
SF: Henry (or Malik Hall)
PF: Jackson
PF/C: Marcus Bingham Jr.

That right there may be the most athletic starting five ever assembled by Tom Izzo and it’s close to becoming a reality if Terry continues to work on landing Jackson.

Michigan State currently leads according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball which favors the Spartans 100 percent with six votes. Jackson is the No. 16 player in the country and second-best power forward for 2020. He and Terry would be, well, scary.
