2. Purdy would have a plethora of talented weapons

You might not think it, but Michigan State football has plenty of weapons returning in 2020 and others adding experience. The Spartan offense was one of the worst in the Big Ten last season, but it was because the skill position players just couldn’t stay healthy and the offensive line was atrocious.

Chubba Purdy could choose to join a team that has a ton of pieces next season and top weapons to throw to such as Cody White, Cam Chambers, Jalen Nailor, Jayden Reed, Tre’Von Morgan and Tre Mosely, to name a few. Don’t forget incoming freshman (for 2020) Ian Stewart and potentially a guy like Ricky White.

Behind him in the backfield there are running backs like Connor Heyward, Anthony Williams Jr., Elijah Collins and La’Darius Jefferson. Elijah Green is another back to watch in the 2020 class and he could be a star in the MSU backfield as well.

As for tight ends, which are a quarterback’s best friend, Matt Dotson will be a senior and Trenton Gillison will be a redshirt sophomore. Both guys have All-Big Ten potential and that’s something that would help ease Purdy into the offense right away.

The weapons are everywhere, so that wouldn’t be a worry for Purdy.
