Running back will be a major need for the Spartans in the years to come, especially since Connor Heyward will be entering his senior year in 2020 and La’Darius Jefferson will be a junior.

That leaves guys like Elijah Collins and Anthony Williams Jr. to carry the workload and they don’t exactly have a wealth of experience. There’s also doubts about whether or not those guys can be every-down type of backs, which is why landing a kid like Elijah Green would be so important.

Green officially visited Michigan State back on June 6 and the Spartans look like the favorite in his recruitment to this point. The coaching staff has had plenty of success dipping into the state of Georgia before and Green could just be the next gem.

In just six games as a junior, Green had 68 carries for 421 yards, proving that he can make the most of his touches. He’s got plenty of speed and his sharp cuts make defenders look silly.

The three-star, ranked the No. 492 overall player and 33rd-best running back in the class, holds offers from the likes of Boston College, Iowa State, N.C. State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
