9. Offensive line will produce at least one All-Big Ten performer

No, I promise I’m not crazy.

Michigan State had one of the worst offensive lines in the Big Ten last season and essentially the same starting cast is back. In most situations, that would be a bad thing, but this group has made it their mission to put the 2018 season behind them, starting by gaining weight.

Yes, gaining weight may actually be one of the keys to success in the trenches as the Spartans were relatively light in that regard last season and now every projected starter weighs over 300 pounds.

With a starting group of Cole Chewins, Jordan Reid, Tyler Higby, Kevin Jarvis and Matt Allen, the Spartans will at least have continuity and one of those guys will be named to an All-Big Ten team while another gets honorable mention.

My guess would be Jarvis is named to one of the three All-Big Ten teams and Chewins earns honorable mention.

After the spring game, I do believe this will be one of the most improved position groups on the team, especially with Jim Bollman back to coaching what he knows best.
