Michigan State Football: Post-spring 2019 game-by-game predictions
Last year, Michigan State went to the desert and came home with a surprising L. The Spartans expected to go to Tempe and beat Herm Edwards and the Sun Devils who were seemingly on reset mode as a program.
That wasn’t the case.

Michigan State couldn’t hold the Sun Devils off and finished with a 16-13 loss which was even worse considering they led until the fourth quarter. A late touchdown pass to N’Keal Harry sealed the win and the Spartans couldn’t get anything going offensive against a Pac-12 team not quite known for its defense — it wouldn’t be the only time that’d be said in 2018.
Arizona State loses Manny Wilkins and N’Keal Harry and replacing them will be extremely tough. They don’t have a starting quarterback yet even after spring ball as 3-4 guys are still battling it out for that No. 1 job. That will play into the Spartans’ favor as they will still be unsure of their guy by Week 3.
Once again, the Spartan defense will stymy Eno Benjamin and those controversial lime green jerseys will get the job done.
Final Score: Arizona State 17, Michigan State 28 (3-0)
