While the season didn’t go quite as planned, losing to Michigan and Ohio State on the road, Michigan State has to feel good that it has already surpassed its win total from a year ago and it even has a chance to win 10 games as long as it takes care of Maryland and wins a bowl game.

Will that be the case?

Maryland comes to town with a new head coach — Mike Locksley — in place. The Terrapins will be in rebuild mode and even with Josh Jackson at the quarterback position, the offense will be a work in progress, especially with the backfield looking a little different.

Defensively, the Spartans hold the biggest advantage here and the Terrapins won’t be able to effectively slow Brian Lewerke and the revamped offense. This will be the perfect ending to Michigan State’s 2019 season and the senior quarterback could top 3,000 yards by the end of the game, assuming he stays healthy all year and continues what he showed during the spring game.

The Spartans will end the season on a high note, taking down the Terrapins and heading into the postseason with a chance to win 10 games for the second time in two years.

Final Score: Maryland 16, Michigan State 34 (9-3, 6-3)
