1. Spartans are motivated to win for Tom Izzo

The national media can think all it wants about Tom Izzo’s relationship with his players. After the Aaron Henry yelling controversy, the media took a non-story and ran with it, painting Izzo as a coach who lost his cool and nearly burned bridges on his team.

That wasn’t the case.

Since then, the team has looked much more motivated and Henry has had a heck of a run in the tournament in his own regard. He’s playing well and looks like a much more focused player who isn’t caught being lazy on either end of the floor.

The team plays for Izzo because the love for each other is mutual. They want to get their head coach back to the national title game and win him his second because he’s spent most of his career chasing No. 2.

Most teams don’t quite play for their head coach the way Michigan State does and it will show against Texas Tech with another motivated performance.

This team has done everything in its power to get the Spartans and Izzo to the Final Four and they know they’re incredibly close to sealing the deal.
