1. Matt McQuaid hits game-winning 3-pointer in final minute

Senior Kenny Goins got to live out a childhood dream last Sunday, catching a pass on the perimeter with less than 40 seconds left to play, rising and firing to give Michigan State a two-point lead over Duke, eventually sending the Spartans to the Final Four with the bucket.

It was straight out of a movie. Goins had been practicing that shot since he was a little kid and it came to fruition on the biggest stage.

Now it’s the other senior’s turn. Matt McQuaid has been clutch all season long and he’s going to need to be against the Red Raiders as he’ll be left open in the corner a bit, looking to take advantage of an aggressive no-middle defense.

McQuaid will get an opportunity to hit the biggest shot of his life.

With the Spartans and Red Raiders tied at 63-63 with 45 seconds left, Cassius Winston will attempt a drive down the lane, draw a few defenders and then kick it to McQuaid in the corner as he drills a three to give Michigan State the lead, which it will hold on to.

The Spartans will win the game thanks to that big shot from McQuaid and head to the national title game for the first time since 2009.
