3. Kenny Goins is living out his childhood dream

When Kenny Goins was growing up, there was one college basketball team he saw himself playing for and envisioned what life would be like as a Spartan.

As he practiced in his driveway or even on the mini hoop in his room, he acted out situations. Sunday’s game-clinching 3-pointer with 34 seconds left was one of those moments he dreamed of as a kid and he got to make it a reality in front of a national audience with a Final Four on the line.

The play was actually supposed to go to either Cassius Winston or Xavier Tillman down low, but how could the former walk-on and fifth-year senior pass up that shot? Zion Williamson got caught in a screen which allowed Goins to get up an open shot to take a two-point lead.

After the game, he was asked about the clutch 3-pointer after a rough day and he said this:

Not many kids can grow up envisioning a moment like this and actually get to live it out after presumably being told they aren’t good enough to play at the highest level.

Kenny is the perfect success story for all young basketball players out there.
