2. Tom Izzo wants No. 2 more than anything

Tom Izzo wants his second National Title more than anything. You can see it on his face, hear it in his voice every post-game press conference each year that ends in a loss. Which has been 18 straight years. He doesn’t want that streak to extend any longer.

His passion, his love for the game, his love for his team and his drive to end the year with another championship is second to none. The work ethic he has, as well as the other coaching staff has, is what will lead Michigan State back to the promised land. He has the team that will do whatever it takes, he has the coaching staff that will put in the work. Now all they need is a few good bounces.

After having a team that has played so well through an amount of injury luck that just isn’t fair, followed by the whole bracket nonsense, this team is due for some good luck. Luck plays a role in winning a national championship. They’re due for some.

Maybe they won’t need any. Izzo and his staff will do what it takes to have this team ready. He wants to have that elusive second title by his name.
