It’s been an exciting season for Michigan State basketball but it could get even better with the NCAA Tournament. It’s time to get bold.

Throughout this season we have seen the good, the bad and the ugly in this Michigan State basketball team.

The Spartans are back in the NCAA Tournament for the 22nd consecutive time. They were able to get a No. 2 seed for the second year in a row and third time in four seasons. They have not had much luck in this tournament the last few years, though.

In fact, the Spartans have had an early exit and not been able to reach the second weekend for the past three years. They have not seen a Final Four since the miracle season in 2015 when no one was expecting it out of them.

To get you in the mood for the tourney, here are some bold predictions for this team going into the tournament.

5. Cassius Winston averages a double-double

Cassius Winston is the heart and soul of this team. Michigan State will live and die by the play of its junior point guard and Big Ten Player of the Year. However, this bold prediction will be that Cassius will average a double-double throughout this tournament.

The Detroit-native will put the team on his back like he has done so many times before and get at least 10 points and 10 assists throughout the tournament and he will use his crafty change of speed to get into the lane and get those easy buckets.

Not only about that, but Winston will also be able to find his shooting stroke like he has struggled with lately and he will shoot at least 47 percent from long distance. All in all, Cassius will be the guy that will take this team deep into the tournament.
