1. Michigan State snaps losing skid emphatically

Losing three straight games at Michigan State shouldn’t even be an option. Sure, it’s happened before, but it’s not a regular occurrence for Tom Izzo and the Spartans.

This three-game skid has fans feeling like it may be the end of times and the pressure is definitely on the Spartans’ shoulders to end this streak and get back on track. Beating Minnesota handily would not only show the rest of the Big Ten that they’re not just going to roll out and bow out of the conference title race, but it’ll show the rest of the nation that the Spartans aren’t going anywhere.

Michigan State can’t seem to get anything to go its way lately, but the ball will start to bounce toward the Spartans on Saturday afternoon. No, it’s not luck, but when things go right for a team, they continue to trend in that direction.

The Spartans will race out to an early lead, win the 50-50 balls, get out in the fast-break, win the rebounding battle and make their threes.
