2. Cassius Winston, too, bounces back with double-double

When was the last time Cassius Winston recorded a double-double? Back on Jan. 2 against Northwestern to re-start conference play after a month-long break.

That’s a long time for a player with the talent of Winston but that drought is about to end. He’s going to have a nice rebound game after turning the ball over nine time with nine assists against Illinois. He knows that’s not what’s going to win teams or be the best for this squad moving forward and he needs to take better care of the ball.

Winston played an uncharacteristic game at Illinois, looking lethargic, but I do believe we will see more of Foster Loyer, in spells, which means that the junior point guard will get more breaks and have fresh legs.

The junior point guard will have just two turnovers while dishing out 11 assists (a majority of them to Nick Ward and kicking out to the 3-point line) with 15 points. He’s not going to need a big scoring outburst, but he’ll hit four threes and add a driving and-one to complete his line.

This means that both Winston and Ward will have double-doubles on Saturday afternoon.
