Last, but certainly not least, Julian Barnett is a guy who everyone should be excited for. He’s the type of recruit who could come in right away and play some big minutes on both sides of the ball, if need be. He’s versatile enough to be a lockdown corner, but he could also return kicks, punts and even play some receiver.

Barnett has drawn high praise from just about everyone and he was named an Under Armour All-American. He has absolutely blown up in recent months and his quickness as a defensive back along with his elite ball skills and athleticism make him an unbelievably talented prospect.

In fact, he has become one of the nation’s top-60 players, per 247Sports, ranked No. 58 overall and is the sixth-best cornerback prospect. He’s also the third-best player in the state of Michigan.

Michigan State is losing Justin Layne to the draft and Josiah Scott could be entering his final year as a Spartan. The Spartans have depth at cornerback, but the coaching staff will soon realize he’s just too talented to keep on the bench.

We will see plenty of Barnett in the return game, on special teams and on both defense and offense in 2019. He’s going to be utilized a ton throughout his career, starting right away in the fall.
