If you’re looking for the game that could be the next loss on the Spartans’ schedule, look no further than Wisconsin. Though any game in conference play could be a loss, this one has the best opportunity of any game in February to this point.

Wisconsin has been on fire of late, notching its sixth Quadrant 1 win on the season with a victory over Maryland in Madison on Friday night. The Badgers were trailing by five at half, but out-scored the Terrapins by 13 in the second-half to win 69-61. It was one of the best wins on the season from this team but the Badgers have also upset Michigan in Madison.

Any more reason to have the Spartans on upset alert here? Absolutely not. This team is hungry for revenge after losing three times to Michigan State a season ago — the last two were heated battles. Ethan Happ wants to go out strong over the Spartans to end his Badger career and Brad Davison hasn’t forgotten how heartbreaking those defeats were last year.

Wisconsin will come out strong and play solid defense all afternoon long, holding the Spartans to 39 percent shooting from the floor. It’ll be a back-and-forth battle that will ultimate end in the Badgers’ favor.

Michigan State’s second loss of the year will sting slight because the Badgers, too, will be in the Big Ten title hunt.

Prediction: Michigan State 63, Wisconsin 66 (21-4, 12-2)
