4. Carsen Edwards held under 20 points again

Since being held to 11 points against Michigan State, Carsen Edwards has games of 36 and 27 points and his lowest scoring output was 19 against Rutgers.

The chances that Michigan State holds Edwards to less than 20 points for the second time this season aren’t high, but the Spartans will pull off an impressive feat against the Big Ten’s leading scorer.

Matt McQuaid will lock Edwards up yet again, but this time he’ll have a slightly better shooting performance, making about seven shots on 16 tries. He’ll finish with 17 points on a sub-50 percent shooting outing and that’ll be huge for the Spartans’ hopes on the road.

Locking up Edwards for the second time on the season, under his standards, will make for a winnable game for the Spartans since the Boilermakers don’t have a true No. 2 scorer — Ryan Cline is that, if you can even label him as such.

Force Purdue to get its points from elsewhere for the second time this season and good things will happen.
