2. Cassius Winston will record fifth double-double

It’s been five games since Cassius Winston last recorded more than 10 assists in a single game. He had 13 points and 12 assists against Northwestern back on Jan. 2 and has failed to break the seven-mark since. That’ll all change as he’s going to put up his second double-digit assist night against Iowa this season, but this time, he’ll turn it into a double-double.

The last time these two teams faced, Winston was dishing the ball to open teammates left and right, finishing with 12 assists but he only had eight points on 2-of-9 shooting.

Don’t expect that poor shooting performance repeat itself.

The junior point guard has been lights out on the offensive end over the past month — really all season — and that’s going to continue as he’ll record his fifth double-double on the year. He will approach triple-double range with six rebounds as well, but that feat may be something he accomplishes a little more down the line when he crashes the boards more from the point.

Winston will keep that Big Ten Player of the Year candidacy alive with another eye-opening performance in Iowa City, finishing with 15 points and 11 assists, adding three 3-pointers on five tries to the mix.
