1. Veteran team will be ready for battle

Having a veteran team in this circumstance usually pays huge dividends. While Nebraska has a relatively experienced team, the Spartans, too, have one that has been around the block a few times.

Cassius Winston, Nick Ward, Matt McQuaid and Kenny Goins will be more than ready for this road battle against Nebraska. All of these guys have been to Lincoln and have escaped with wins but have never lost on the road against Nebraska. Will that change on Thursday night? Not with this veteran squad and a focus that is second to none.

The Spartans look to be on a mission this season and that’s not going to change just because of a hostile crowd in a big game.

The experience played a big factor against Ohio State a couple of weeks ago as the Spartans were able to overcome a late-first half surge to beat the Buckeyes by nine in Columbus. That was arguably the toughest place the Spartans have had to play this season — though Lincoln could rival that.

Being a veteran team on the road in conference play has its benefits and we will soon see that with with team in Lincoln.
