2. Cassius Winston will answer Izzo’s call, bounce back

Tom Izzo was blunt to the media when talking about Cassius Winston’s performance at Penn State and for most kids, that’d be enough to lead to a complete shutdown mentally, but the junior point guard is a leader and a veteran. He knows Izzo’s tendencies and he’s going to answer his head coach’s call against one of the conference’s best teams.

Winston will have one of his best games of the season, scoring 24 points with eight assists and two turnovers and he’ll drain four 3-pointers in the process. He’s going to be a force for the Spartans, leading all scorers.

It’s not often you see Winston have two bad games in a row, especially this season, and he won’t.

I’m sure he’s sick of hearing how bad he was against Penn State with seven turnovers and just 11 points and he’ll go off and silence his doubters — though they are few and far between these days.

Glynn Watson Jr. will have a tough time staying in front of him all night and Winston will be a bully on the offensive end of the floor.
