2. Cassius Winston will lead all scorers

This may not seem all that bold, but James Palmer Jr. is one heck of a scorer for Nebraska and is one of the best the league has to offer.

Cassius Winston, though, will lead everyone with 24 points and eight assists, topping Palmer Jr. who will draw the tough task of scoring on Matt McQuaid. The senior captain has been the Spartans’ best perimeter defender and he’s been known to shut down top scorers — like he did with Carsen Edwards just a week ago.

Michigan State is going to need this type of performance from Winston after he struggled against Penn State in order to take down a tough Cornhusker team on the road.

Winston has been torching Big Ten foes this season and is averaging 17.6 points and 7.4 assists overall, but he’s looking for his fourth 20-point game in conference play. He’ll get that, and then some, leading everyone in Lincoln on Thursday night.

Tom Izzo challenged his junior point guard and Cassius will answer the call in a big way — oh, and he’ll cut the turnovers down, finishing with just two.
