1. Depth continues to be a strength

No Josh Langford or Kyle Ahrens? No problem. For most teams, losing two guys who have meant a great deal to the starting lineup like this would have been a crushing blow and no way would they improve to 4-0 without a third-leading scorer and his replacement. But for the Spartans, it was just another day at the office as the depth prevailed.

The Spartans showcased depth with guys like Aaron Henry and Gabe Brown stepping up. Henry, a freshman, had one of his better games as a Spartan, scoring seven points to go along with two rebounds and two assists on 3-of-6 shooting. Brown, also a freshman, scored three points with four rebounds and an assist in 21 minutes.

Both played solid defense as well.

Other than those two, Xavier Tillman and Foster Loyer played double-digit minutes off the bench. Tillman led the way with 24 minutes, scoring five points with seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks while Loyer had one of his better games as backup point guard with seven points and an assist.

Michigan State played eight guys more than 10 minutes on Sunday evening and that just goes to show that when everyone is healthy, this team is 10-11 deep, at least.
