Offense: B-

To say this wasn’t the best offensive performance from the Spartans on the season would have been an understatement, especially since Purdue doesn’t have the best defense, but scoring 77 points on an off night is still impressive. Not many teams can struggle on the offensive end and nearly hit 80 points.

Cassius Winston led the way with 23 points and ran the offense effectively, mixing in drives to the hoop, mid-range jumpers and 3-point makes while dishing five assists. His five turnovers are something he would tell you he wishes he could change.

Nick Ward had his way with Purdue bigs for a large chunk of the game, scoring 16 points and Xavier Tillman, too, fared well with 11 points. Kenny Goins added seven from the post but missed some wide open shots that allowed Purdue to get back into the game in the second half.

Matt McQuaid hit three big 3-pointers and Kyle Ahrens finished with four points. The offense was just above average in this one.
