The month of January is upon us and Michigan State basketball is looking to start the new year off right. It’s time to get bold, folks.

The month of January has already begun, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to make predictions for the remainder of games. The Spartans have jumped out to a 2-0 start with six games remaining, and they won’t get easier from this point on.

Michigan State has beaten Northwestern and Ohio State by a combined 35 points and it looks like this team may be the biggest contender, along with Michigan, from the Big Ten.

There’s still plenty of time left in the month of January and conference play is just starting to heat up, so don’t be surprised if another contender emerges from the Big Ten. The Spartans will look to win out in the month and take care of a tough January schedule.

It’s better late than never, so let’s take a look at our bold predictions for Michigan State basketball in the first month of the new year. It could be a big month for the green and white, setting up a monster year for Tom Izzo and the Spartans.
