4. Cody White set himself up for monster 2019 campaign

The most consistent offensive player throughout the game had to be Cody White. The sophomore receiver was the No. 1 guy coming in, but he set himself up for a monster 2019 after becoming the leading receiver of the Redbox Bowl.

Much like Felton Davis III did last season, White looked great in the bowl game and helped Brian Lewerke out when the offensive line wasn’t.

White was sure-handed the entire afternoon and some would say he was the saving grace on offense. He caught six passes for 64 yards, ending a tough 2018 season filled with injury on a high note.

Everyone expected White to learn for a year under Davis III in 2018 and take over as the No. 1 guy in 2019, but he was thrust into that role after breaking his hand early in the season and coming back to his teammate being out for the year with a torn Achilles.

The 2019 season should be a good one for White, if the Redbox Bowl was any indication.
