1. Michigan State wins in final minute

No one is giving Michigan State much of a chance in this one. Oregon is the trendy pick, per Vegas, and even on ESPN’s College GameDay, Kirk Herbstreit was the only one of the five analysts to pick the Spartans to beat the Ducks in Santa Clara.

Don’t count this team out just yet.

Sure, the Dave Warner-led offense has been atrocious this season, and some might even say the most under-achieving in MSU history given the talent level, but the Spartans are getting a healthier Brian Lewerke back, LJ Scott will be playing and the defense is still one of the best in the nation.

On top of that, Oregon’s defense isn’t exactly shutting people down as it’s allowing nearly 400 yards and 27 points per game. The Spartans shouldn’t have much of a problem scoring here — especially with a month to prepare for this one.

The Spartans and Ducks usually have good battles and this will be no different. These two teams will battle it out down to the wire and the Spartans will score on a Lewerke back-shoulder throw to Cody White in the end zone to seal the deal in the final minute. Spartans win by a touchdown.
