1. Tom Izzo wins second national title

How could this not be No. 1? It’s a no-brainer and assuredly the No. 1 item on every Michigan State fan’s list as well as the top of every college basketball’s fan’s.

Michigan State fans have been waiting almost two decades for that second national title from Tom Izzo. He’s come close a few times, but has never overcome that hump and he’s hoping to get that monkey off his back. There’s talk that if he wins his second title, he could be close to calling it a career and ending on a high note.

That’s all speculation because Izzo doesn’t seem like he’s anywhere near retirement, but adding a second title would surely help recruiting and improve his overall image which has been tarnished due to recent early NCAA Tournament exits — fair or not, it’s true in the national eye.

College basketball is all about the “what have you done for me lately?” mindset, and Izzo would silence all his doubters with a second title.
