Instant Impact: Tre Mosley, WR

Michigan State fans should be really excited about this kid. The three-star receiver from West Bloomfield, Mich., is following the footsteps of former teammate Trishton Jackson who also went to Michigan State but has since transferred to Syracuse because of lack of extended playing time — he didn’t quite blossom into a star like everyone was expecting during his sophomore year.

Mosley will look to have better luck, though. He has the talent level of a receiver like Cody White with speed, excellent route-running and strong hands. He’s also great at absorbing contact and staying on his feet through first hits.

If you watch his highlight film, there are multiple plays where he sheds shoulder tackles and keeps running down the field for a touchdown. You’re going to have to wrap this kid up to take him down which is great news for his future quarterback(s) as yards after catch are a gunslinger’s best friend.

With the receiving corps taking a hit health-wise in 2018, Michigan State will welcome some depth pieces and I think a guy like Mosley is talented enough to break into that playing rotation right away.
