This is a no-brainer. Michigan State had one of the worst offensive lines in the country this season, making way for one of the best classes Mark Dantonio has ever put together in the trenches. He has a number of three and four-star guys who make up one heck of a class up front, led by five-star offensive tackle Devontae Dobbs.

Clearly the talk of the class for Michigan State, Dobbs was the highest-rated recruit for the Spartans and he will always carry high expectations with him.

It’s not easy for true freshmen to start on the offensive line, but Dobbs has the potential to do just that, especially with the need Michigan State has up front. He’s an aggressive, high-motor kid who could vastly improve the Spartans’ line immediately and maybe help them get back to the ground-and-pound days.

And heck, maybe keep Brian Lewerke off his backside so he’s not injured again.

Dobbs is ranked the No. 26 overall player in the class and is the second-best recruit in the state of Michigan for 2019, according to 247Sports.
