4. Healthy LJ Scott

For the first time since the opener against Utah State, we could actually see a healthy, motivated LJ Scott. The senior running back was originally trying to redshirt this season after playing in just four regular season games, but he decided it was in his best interest to make an effort to enter the NFL draft.

That may end up paying off since the shelf life for running backs is so short and him staying another year at Michigan State would only damage his draft stock.

We will see what he can do and how much work he has put in with his offensive line in bowl practices and Spartan fans may finally see what a run game looks like again.

There has always been plenty of criticism placed on Scott for his lack of hitting the holes hard and trying to dance around too much, but he is the Spartans’ most talented back and we could soon see him playing healthy and ending his career on a high note, like he almost did a year ago in the Holiday Bowl against Washington State.
