Offense: C

Let’s just say the offense was not pretty on Saturday and it wasn’t for a lack of efficient shooting. In fact, the Spartans made 51 percent of their shots from the field but just 27 percent from 3-point range and they made it to the free throw line only eight total times, making seven.

The offense was non-existent in the final stretch of the game as Michigan State’s 12-point lead dwindled down to nothing as the Gators were able to make up ground even though they weren’t shooting well, either.

The half-court offense was mediocre, at best, as the Spartans stopped going into the post to Nick Ward and that’s when things became trickier. The offense stopped scoring at will and allowed the Florida defense to contain them, holding them to just 28 points in the second half.

Plus, turnovers were everywhere. They just couldn’t seem to protect the ball, turning it over 15 times which was the exact opposite performance than the one they had against Iowa.

The offense must improve and get back to the basics like it did earlier in the week against the Hawkeyes in East Lansing because Saturday’s outing was hideous.
